Tom Roberts is a Senior Consultant in Salesforce Practice at Third Republic. Third Republic provides specialized recruitment solutions for Salesforce and other leading digital platforms and technologies. We reached out to Tom and his team to get some insight into how Salesforce helps them, and their customers, succeed. Below are the answers Tom shared with us during a brief interview for Merlin Guides:

Question one: Why do you love Salesforce?

Salesforce has been massively helpful to me as a recruitment consultant. Within this position it is crucial to be highly organised and thorough with the business development side of things – it’s the life blood of our business. Salesforce helps me organise categorize leads, reminding me with I haven’t reached out to a potential client, and therefore saves me time on a day to day bases. This coupled with having access to all this information through the Salesforce1 mobile app is equally as useful when I’m on the move.

Question two: What feature in Salesforce do you use the most?

Lead call backs is a regular feature used a lot, as well as using Salesforce to take candidates’ interviews through the “sales / interview stages” on the system.

Question three: What is your best tip for using Salesforce?

Make sure you’re always adding necessary, usual and correct data to the system so you can fully utilize everything Salesforce has to offer!

Question four: What is your proudest Salesforce accomplishment?

We’ve used Salesforce as our CRM systems so although I personally don’t have a project that I’ve worked on, Salesforce has helped me bring on fantastic clients and more importantly make sure that when we are working with these people – we are providing the highest level of customer service.
